What kinda file is it?

Check to see if a freeware program called HJSPLIT is available for MAC. I know you can VERY EASILY split files using it and then transfer it on a PC. BUt you will need it on your mac too to rejoin the files.

Yea i thought about splitting the file into multiple .rar or .zip files.....
but at the moment my myMac is filled to the top! only 3.4GB free space :p

and to split the file i need the equivalent amount of free space at the original file I am trying to split.

(and thats very time consuming, got to split an then reassemble all the parts)

Humm I wonder if you can join split files from the USB and select to place the file on the HDD?

Never tried it, but should be possible i'm thinking!
