Is today going to be the day Apple finally updates?

If so what time do people reckon they'll announce and how?

I think people suspect Nov 13th more than today but... we can dream anyway.

Why are people insistant on the 13th? I thought Apple never did releases on tuesdays when the monday was a holiday?

It may be the 13th or 14th. The thought though is that all the top tier OEMs will be announcing new products that week based on the new Xeon chips, so Apple releases on Tuesday because everyone else probably already announced theirs on Monday.

Yep, looks like another week - AT LEAST. There's obviously no guarantee that they'll release them next week. I sure hope so, because January seems pretty far away.

Devs haven't even been seeded 10.5.1 yet. I doubt that Apple would push out updates without getting a broad testbed first.

Hopefully big rumors float around the end of this week. I think it'll happen on Wednesday Nov. 14th due to holiday, that way the main home page gets one more day to advertise Leopard before advertising MacPro with Leopard. ;) :D

I think this statement has some validity to it. With 10.5 having issues that are always inherent with a new OS, I think Apple would want to stabilize the release before releasing the update to the Mac Pro.

and as soon as I said it... boom 10.5.1 is now being tested :) Give it 7~30 days before it's stable and pushed out to end users.
