I recall this being a matter of discussion a while back, as to whether Apple would continue to offer warranty renewals for 7,1 owners. My 3 years just ran out, and Apple re-upped my machine in Applecare+ for AU$149/year, that seems to have no end date. This is the insurance product version of Applecare, so it includes accidental damage (I guess if I drop the machine pulling it off a shelf etc). 🤷‍♂️

One of mine runs out in 2 months, the other in October 2025.

I’ll definitely renew them if I can.

These are damn expensive machines and critical for me.

Mine came up a few weeks ago. Got a notification in Settings and an email the day after it expired. $110 annually until cancelled. Totally did it.

It will be interesting to see how long they keep up with the auto-renewing nature of it.

Still rocking the AppleCare since day 1 and I bought the machine about a few weeks after it initially launched! I just wonder if its even possible to get a replacement machine from Apple in 3 more years in regards to them having any in stock at all.

There were 2 guys in the Redshift forums who were having many issues with their machines, mainly down to the Vega Duo's causing instability with Redshift amongst other things. One guy ended up emailing Tim Cook, the other escalated locally via his local store. In both cases they were given a new M2 MacPro as Apple didn't have any parts to repair their current machine. I think they both sold the M2 and got a Studio or a PC.

So who knows. Might just get given a new machine lol.

I think they have parts and some GPUs left.

When the W6800X Duo was not available from Apple, iPowerResale was able to get me a brand new card with fabric link out of Apple directly.

But I suspect Apple probably just wants to give you M2 Mac Pros.

I’m sure a read somewhere that someone made a stink about that and was refunded the price of the computer (which could be quite a huge amount).
