Is this enough free space to install Tahoe?

I'm sure Apple would say less is required, but from a % standpoint, it's giving me pause...

From a % standpoint, I'd always have 10% of free drivespace. But, yeah, 220Gb should be more than enough - remember that apple still sells laptops with a pathetic 256GB SSD. But as the other commenter said: Have a good backup (which is NOT just one copy on an external HD)

Thank you.

re: backup
Yea...I only have my files backed up. Not the system settings, etc...

I have a Synology but backup to it via Time Machine took sooooo long (days) each time and it was so noisy I stopped doing it.
