Interesting find

iPhone 7 plus 256 rose gold received today came with 10.0.1 while gold 32 7 received last Friday came with 10.0

I think we cam assume that this is now past the original allocation

Pretty bizarre how fast apple is going through phones

A week into introduction they are onto new build of phones

Anything built prior to 9/6 has 10.0 on it. 10.0 was never publicly released as the GM was 10.0.1. Meaning that there was a critical bug in 10.0 and 10.0.1 needed to be seeded instead. My 7Plus and GF's 7 were built 9/6, both came with 10.0.

Just out of curiosity, do they produce a crap tons of iphones and then wait until the software matures? I can't imagine they load ios on millions of devices after being sat in the factory for weeks or even days. lol

It takes weeks if not months to produce 10+ million iPhones for a single weekend launch. My launch day iPhone 6s had a build date of early August. 5 weeks before the announcement.

Also i noticed the 7 plus did not have the yellow screen like the 7 did

7 plus looks identical to 6s plus

I'm exchanging my 7 for a 7 plus that I have reserved at the Apple Store. I'm terrified that I'm going to get a bad screen. Can you tell me the first two digits of your + serial number? It seems like you got one of the later ones. I hope I get that lucky.
