I was always told not to use the iPad charger with my iPhones. I use the Anker Power Port 5 USB charger - works really well and I've yet to have it overheat. According to the blurb, it has this:
I stopped using the standard chargers a long time ago. This works better!

Probably won't mean much, but mine charges pretty quick. I plugged mine in at 78% and 20 mins later it's now at 99%.

Same here. Those anker chargers are the best. It took me 1:41 minutes to charge a completely dead 7 Plus. About 1% a minute.I was always told not to use the iPad charger with my iPhones. Whilst you can, I've had two iPhones die from battery related issues/battery ballooning - they were regularly charged with the household iPad adapter. Now that's not scientific proof of anything, but it's enough to stop me doing so with mine.
I been charging all the iPhones in my house with iPad plugs. They charge faster and no problems at all. They never got hotter than usual or had any battery issues.
Same here. Even my Apple Watch charges in half the time with the iPad charger.

I got spoiled with fast charge times and if I use a regular plug or connect to a computer to charge it feels like it's taking a year

actually iPad chargers are recommended by Apple so it should definitely work.
and yep, I also have the Anker one since I don't have an ipad

Not sure what the anker is but I have one of these dual iPad charger plugs and it's been solid for years. 4.2amp 20 watts.

iPad charger here since my 6. No issues seen yet throughout.
Like others said the ipad charger is the best way to charge your iPhone specially the + since the battery is larger which takes more time to fully charge. Also there's 2 different ipad charger 10 watts and 12 watts. 12 watts obviously is better since it will charge a bit faster than the 10 watts.
