Carrier 7+ (Verizon) Losing Touchscreen Responsiveness

I'm having intermittent issues with my 7+ (128-Verizon) not responding to touch commands, particularly, but not exclusively in the Mail app, and having to put the phone to sleep and waking it back up to cause it to respond again.

Is anyone else seeing that?

Had this issue with my 6+ it was a screen defect. Apple replaced the phone under warranty. I would check with them.
