Genius bar are going to replace screen on my air with grey lines. Will it make a difference or is it to do with nvidia graphics chip. Thanks for any input.
just got the macbook air back today with replaced screen. It still has grey lines. They wouldn't replace it in the store. They started giving me this crap about how these lines are a particular feature of the air model. It's an absolute disgrace. I'm going to try selling the air on ebay. I don't think i'll ever be able to buy another apple product again even though i love the operating system.
Sorry to hear about your MBA.
However, I have not heard about this grey lines thing. And I'm a bit concerned because I'm trying to decide between a MBA (waiting for rev. C) or MB (Al unibody). And I've just heard that UMB got updated with the same screen as MBA ones.
So, will this both have the grey lines thing? Which is the incidence of such defect?
They are not ignoring it internally that's for sure. They're just publicly stonewalling the issue, and palming us, the masses, off with inferior tech.I think it's disgusting that apple are ignoring this issue when clearly the problem is widespread. I have to say that i think its an issue with the graphics or power supply to the led display. Surely all the screens can't be crap.
