So I just bought my first Mac (13" Macbook Pro 2.26) and I am kinda curious about what everyone here runs their exhaust fan at, and what temps they get. If you would like to join in, use this format! Temp should be with a couple things open, while surfing the web. Just normal email, web, maybe itunes, but no ripping or power applications chugging!

I'll go first.

Model: 13" MBP 2.26
Minimum Fan Speed: 3200rpm
Temp: ~45 C

With the windows open in my house, and the normal neighborhood noises, I can't hear the fan. The default was 2000rpm, and this keeps it a good 7-10 C cooler.

WOW. you like to set your fans high huh? 6000+ RPM for 56 C is a little overkill isn't it?

On my MacBook Pro...

(w/ 9400M):
Idle: 40-45 C (2100 RPM)
Safari + iTunes: 47-48 C (+/- 2110 RPM)

(w/ 9600M GT):
Idle: 50-55 C (2200 RPM)
Safari +iTunes: 55-58 C (2400 RPM)
