Cheapest 4gb or 8gb ram , 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM

Whats the Cheapest 4gb or 8gb ram , 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM anyone has bought or found and which website or store.

If you upgrade an Macbook pro 13" (uk store) to a 4gb ram it cost an extra £80.01

and to add 8Gb ram cost is £880.00 (yep very expensive).

Most people have advised NOT to upgrade ram from Apple as they charge a hefty price.

Anywere else to buy ram and kind suggestions.

Just bought my second 13" macbook pro and tried to be most cost effective in the process. Just sent back my 2.53 Ghz system due to it having 1.5 gb SATA connection.

I purchased the cheaper
macbook pro this time £845.25

How is the speed of the laptop compared to before upgrading?

Why didnt you get a bigger SSD drive or wait till the price of 128SSd went down. I think thats quite expensve fr a 64GB ssd. I would have kept the hardrive and waited for the 128SSD or 256SSD.

Yeah there are other models SSD drives out there but looking at performace issues with the 13" there is no point going all out. My intel X25M drive was I tested in the 2.53ghz version and performace was nice and fast but not as good when it was in my 15" macbook pro I returned. So it would have been a waste of money, Plus I have over 100gb of spare SD cards I have collected over the years so space is not an issue for me.

This system will only been in use for a year or less looking forward to the next macbook Pro refresh, Hope they get the next one right.

Like I said before I am £1000 better of which in the current climate is a good thing. I know I will enjoy my macbook a little more with my bank account in credit and not in the red lol..
