Hi.
I have the black MB from early 2008.
RAM is maxed out at 4gb already and i feel like it still has some time to live before being total garbage and be replaced. Core2duo aint that bad even in 2011.
But still, I figured I'd improve all I can so the last part was the hard drive.
SSDs are great but way too expemsive, MBA are way better value, especially since new ones are coming soon, so chances are that they will be really great.
So I thought 7200rpm, and even the hybrid with 4gb ssd were cheap enough.
So i went to the store, and the guy told me, that 7200rpm was too much heat and that it would kill the mac within 3months.
Is this true? Does it mean that the only possible upgade would be 350$ worth of SSD? Or was he being a little pessimistic?
Thank you
