I am using the Spring 2010 13" MBP. I just upgraded the stock harddrive to the Momentus 7200. I did a fresh install of Snow Leopard from the disks that came with the laptop. I then install the usual utilities like Perian..etc. Now whenever I play and mkv file whether its 720p or 1080p, using QT or VLC... it lags like crazy. It would also skip and not watchable. On the stock harddrive, i can play these files super smooth and no problem at all. So what can i do? I did updates everything to make sure all the system is up to date. Thanks.
