Long story short, I used to have satellite internet (I live in the sticks). It's much better than dial-up, of course, but as I'm sure you know, satellite has inherent problems that suck. Anyway, we now have better/faster internet that works off of radio waves (new company in the area). Life is much better now. :) I have the fastest package (3 mbps) & we typically get at least 2.5 mbps at all times.

My problem is this, I'm still experiencing buffering with 720p videos on YouTube. I'm assuming I would with Netflix, as well. Isn't 2.5 mbps enough to stream 720p adequately? My machine is a 2010 27" iMac (base model).

Is 2.5 mbps just not fast enough? Is my hardware good enough? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
