One of the big things touted with OS 3.0 was that calendars would now take subscriptions. How exactly does this work with MobileMe, or doesn't it? Cause my iPod Touch is currently synced to my calendars via MobileMe, but MobileMe currently shows none of my subscriptions.

MobileMe doesn't support subscriptions. Instead, when you click on an iCal subscription link on the iPhone it will subscribe you to that calendar directly on the phone.

The subscribed calendar will appear in the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings menu and they can be unsubscribed through here too.

You can sync subscriptions between your computer and your iPhone, but not computer to Mobile me to iPhone.

In iTunes, just select to also sync with your mac and select only the subscriptions.

In their new support doc, Apple suggests copying the URL of a subscribed calendar and emailing it to yourself, then opening the email on your iPhone/iPod touch and clicking the link.

Works like a charm. Sadly, though Apple has still not figured out a way to make the birthday calendar work. LAME.

This picture on the apple site shows Birthdays on the iphone under calendar subscriptions. So is the picture incorrect and Apple really does not sync birthdays?

You can't subscribe to the Birthdays calendar. They may be working on it, but you can't do it right now. This is from the previously-linked Support Doc.

While a Birthday calendar may appear in the Subscriptions calendar of iCal, it is not a normal subscription calendar, and cannot be added to your iPhone/iPod touch.

I have the birthday calendar on my iphone. Right click the birthday calendar in iCal, then publish the calendar; Send the email to yourself and open/click the link in your iphone.

Now there's an idea! The other option (supposedly) is to sync just the Birthdays' calendar through iTunes but it's not working as advertised. I started a thread about it but so far no one has responded.

Can add Yahoo Calendars but no events

I can add yahoo sports calendars OK but no events ever show up. Can anyone else confirm this or is there something I am missing?

EDIT

The Only way I have found to get a subscribed calendar to show up is to subscribe on my MAC and sync to iphone manually.

I have gotten other subscriptions to work, however I can't get yahoos sports calendars to show events either.

Any Ideas?
