Whenever my macbook is on, my battery doesn't seem to want to charge. CoconutBattery reports that its not.

If I put the machine to sleep it charges. The battery in the machine is brand new and has 5 cycles on it.

Any ideas on what I should do?

Thanks!

How do you know it's charging if it's sleeping? I don't know if you're aware of it or not but if the battery is at 95% or higher, it won't charge until it drops below 95%.

The light on the cord is orange.
Also the battery wasn't charging when the battery was at 25%.

Ok so when it isn't sleeping and the MagSafe is connected, what color is the LED? Try an SMC reset and see what happens.

It is green.
