OK, I feel really, very n00bish for asking this, but it's driving me crazy.

I pressed a couple keys (don't know which) while I was on the front page of MR. Now, the whole site (including the forums) are in bold print.
Whattt? Can someone shed light to me?

If you are enlarging the text, you should check off the 'zoom text only' command under the view menu.

Thanks for your help, but neither of those tips works. It's so weird. Again, it's only MR (along with the forums) that displays as bold.
Every other website displays normally. And Firefox on MR displays fine as well.

I think I had that issue once before too, but it's been a long time so not sure what I did to fix it. One idea is to use Safari's reset option under the File menu (would probably at least try deleting cache). Also, does this happen in other browsers as well e.g., Firefox? I think when it happened to me it was in Firefox.

Ah it's so bizarre! Hmm, I tried Reset earlier and it didn't work. I have no idea...

The only other suggestion I have for the moment is to try disabling add-ons in the browsers. Here's instructions for starting Firefox in safe mode. In Safari you can disable the plug-ins through Preferences generally.

Woot! I figured it out. I guess I had some weird font collection in the Font Book app. I deleted it and it fixed the problem. I suppose MacRumors has a specific font and the reason I didn't see bold on other websites is because they were unaffected due to them using different fonts.
