A little tidbit I just picked up...

From a posting by a well informed Chinese Mac dealer on this web forum I visit, there's a stock pile of around 730 G5 PowerMac outer casings out on the market. They are all rejects from the production of PowerMac G5, typically scratches or other imperfections. They have been confirmed to be rejects from the manufacturer Hong Hai company in Shenzhen, China. The stock was initially bought by a local dealer from a sheet metal dealer at the cost just under 180RMB (around US$22) each. These were then resold and slowly flowing into Guangzhou's computer market with an asking price of 500RMB each. Locals are watching and expecting a price drop in the near future....

Personally I have a suspicion this is outside of Apple's contract, but who knows?
