What is better today?

I have 2 Windows silent nVidia 9400 and a 210 already working on Lion, but I need to finish a Snow Leopard project so I need an Mac card. AFAIK. Those cards worked fine in a Hackintosh in Snow Leopard.

7300 is 10 bucks. X1900 and fx 4500 are both 20 bucks. Once I finish the project, I will be back to the PC ones.

Any advantages besides what is said here https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/ati-radeon-x1900-xt-or-quadro-fx-4500.846649/ ?

I am going macpro and I am not sure which video card is the best choice, ATI Radeon X1900 XT or Quadro FX 4500? Both seem preety close to me. Which way to go?

Your reference is 13 years old! Video cards released 10 years ago are 10 times more powerful than either of these obsolete cards.

You should be able to find a Radeon HD 5870 for about $30, a HD 5770 for even less. Both can be flashed with Mac EFI firmware for a boot screen. Perfect for a Mac Pro 1,1 or 2,1, even without the boot screen.
