I just got a MacBook Pro, in large part because of the reports of extremely good battery life. I plan to use it extensively while traveling (I have a job that will require an extensive commute every day among other things), and I want to make sure that the battery does its best. Hence, I'm wondering: suppose I let the computer run off battery for a while, draining it a bit---when I get back home, should I plug the computer in right away or wait til I've drained the battery fully? I've adopted the latter strategy with my cell phone and it seems to work, but I wonder what is technically "the best" strategy for maximizing battery health in the long run?
