Hi - just noticed my phone is cracked at the edges of the dock port - is this recognised as a defect in the UK ie will i get a swap pout at an apple store?

Cheers.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3G: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

Yep, they'll replace it.

Same here. Taking it in tomorrow to get it replaced with a black iPhone. Here's hoping that they have stock!

Wow one year later and Apple still hasn't fixed the issues. Just sad.

I got my iPhone in Oct 08 and I've noticed in the last fortnight that at the dock connector there is a small crack in the plastic back. It's been in an incase slider since i got the phone, will they replace for this or is it just wear and tear? Also is it worth replacing it as your most likely going to end up with a refurb??

I assume you have a white iPhone. Apple will not replace your phone with the black model. You will only get a replacement of the same color. Sorry.
