Did some searching but couldn't find what I was looking for....
Can anyone recommend good speakers for an iMac? Wireless would be great if there is such a thing. I know nothing about speakers for computers but I love listening to music and my built in speakers on the computer just lack any justice to the music....
Thanks in advance!
On Price I'm pretty open, quality is what is important to me and definitely want bass![]()
Hey thanks! Looks like I got a whole lot of reading to do!
Much appreciated!
Wireless Thread Here...although it diverged.

Price range is key. I'd recommend the Altec Lansing FX6021 over the sound sticks.
PC Magazine's Editors Rating rated the Harman Kardon Soundsticks #2 and "excellent" of all computer speakers. CNET had them at #7 overall and also "excellent". The Altec Lansing FX6121 was rated "very good" in PC Magazine's review and not an Editor's Choice. I'm not saying the FX6021's are bad, but for pure musicality over loud sound effects, I'd go with the Soundsticks.
Idn. Guess the grass is always greener on the other side. I had the Sound Sticks', but wished that I had bought the FX6021s... Oddly, I thought the bass on the Altec Lansing was the more appealing part. I thought the mids were cleaner on the soundsticks. But, I just went off the deep and went the monitor route.
I think what you're saying is true. The Soundsticks have crisp and transparent mids and highs, and that's why they're preferred for those where musicality is top priority over loud bass sound as part of a sound effects package. But the subwoofer on the Soundsticks is no slouch either if you want to crank it up for games and the like.
