The 2nd review on the site, is that really true? It won't work well on open air - that is quite a problem indeed. Time to check other reviews since I want to get one of these. Thanks for the heads up OP. Btw thread title should be S9-HD not just S9.

EDIT:
Bought it :p

I have the S9 and if I have my iPhone in my pats pocket, it will skip/cut out something awful. Sometimes to the point where I lose the signal completely.

If I'm sitting at my desk it plays fine, but as soon as I leave the office to go home, I have to pull out my regular wired headset.

just noticed you "bought it", If you can, you should cancel the order.

I have both the S9 and S9HD and Motorola has def got it right this time. My S9's did suck in 'open air' but worked well with the bluetooth adapter. The S9HD's are awesome and I have used them several times while running. Work great!

thanks man..fixed the thread title

I've had mine for several weeks now and don't have a single problem with them. I walk the dog in the morning with the 3G in my front pants pocket and the S9s rockin' away.

Steve

I have had my S9s on going on two years this September. I did have fade out on my Treo 700x, however very little drop out on 3G. It may drop twice a week as opposed to a couple a time an hour on the Treo. I use my head set from outer borough to Manhattan and back and no issues on the iphone. Bluetooth and S9s rock solid on my 3g except for the lack of AVRCP. These headphones are so handy.

To the three of you I quoted below, you guys have the S9 right? Not the S9-HD? Cause the one that I bought is with -HD so hopefully it would make a difference with regards to all your issues. I'll wait till mine gets here, probably next Friday based on their free shipping (7-9business days)

I just back from a 30 minute run with the S9-HD (not the regular S9's) and had no issues at all. Perfect clarity and great sound.

I recommend them and at $60 they are a heck of a deal!!!

Sorry for not being clear. Mine are the -HDs. They work perfectly.

Yes, you need no adapter - it's ready to go as is. Phone calls are a GO also.

I have the regular S9's with my 3GS.... I didnt really have any problems in open air, I had the phone in my front and back pocket.

I did notice that when I used them to watch videos, there was a delay in the audio, I thought it was the movie but I tested it without any headphones and then a wired pair.

Has anyone tried to watch any movies with their S9's or S9-HD's?

how good are these once you start running with them??

I replied to your question in the other thread on these about running with them. Here it is on here also:

I have been on several runs with the S9HD. They do stay in the ears, they are actually held in very snug - but not an uncomfortable snug. They feel nice!

The back part does not flop up and down as they are held in snug.

I have had zero drop out or poor reception issues with them - running or not.

They have been perfect!
