WMV3 - any way to play wmv3 avi files on a mac? 😕

I'm pretty sure you can play them through Windows Media Player. Download it pretty much anywhere.

I just checked. Nothing will play this file on OS X - you need WindBlows 🙁

Have you actually donwloaded Windows Media Player 9 for the Mac?

Windows Media Player 9-Mac will play WMV3 files, however they must be in WMV or ASF format, WMP9-Mac does not play mpeg or avi files, which is very annoying, as I downloaded some avi contained WMV3 stuff to watch.. and basically, can't.

Hmm, yeah... also, try closing your eyes and wishing *really* hard.

And defrag your hard drive.

And then do repair permissions.

If none of these magical fixes work, you may have to face up to the fact that AVI is a multiplexing specification that WMPlayer does not support.
