Blackberry chat with iPhone

Could it be possible that someone develops an application for the iPhone to emulate a blackberry PIN and make it work?

No because the blackberry server will not allow anything other then a blackberry to connect. There is no emulating as this traffic is encrypted... good luck figuring out the key.
What, does the Blackberry lack AIM or MSN messenger? Why would you want to be suck on a proprietary Blackberry IM app anyway. 😕

You can get aim or any other chat client on a blackberry as well. They offer their chat program as a convenience to their customers. Also for those on a corporate blackberry through the bes system is mainly what it's intended for. Bes admins can monitor activity going through the blackberry messenger app. Good for them due to whatever security measures they may have in place.
It only worms from blackberry to blackberry. No way else to do it. It would be nice if Apple implemented something similar for the iPhone.

It seems that for this to be a reality it may have t be an App developed either by 
or RIM, and overcome the commercial difficulties between them to reach an agreement that makes them both earn money out of it.
Either way or if done by a 3rd party it, how do you guys see the service fees, or App cost could be?

To be able to natively communicate with the rest of the world that uses Blackberries, not only for fun stuff but mainly for business purposes.
I believe that there might be some other people like me that would prefer to use an iPhone app instead of carrying a BB.

I try to figure this out every time someone brings up the bbm app and I've yet to hear a decent answer.

it has good aim and im support, blackberries probably work better as an im machine than an iphone does.
you use bbm to reliably communicate with other blackberry users who might not have AIM or yahoo, and might not have texting. it's always on as long as you are connected to blackberry's servers (which is 99.7% of the time) and it's threaded with delivery and read receipts.
for example, my mom mainly uses e-mail, doesn't have AIM or texting, so we just use BBM to communicate short messages that don't need phone calls.

Because being on an IM messenger is completely different!! To chat with someone on AIM, GChat, Yahoo etc., the user has to be knowingly log into the service on their phone and has to make sure they remain logged in. What's great about BBM is that any user who has a Blackberry is ALWAYS logged in and you can ALWAYS communicate with them this way. It also tells the person who sent a message if it was received and if it was read by the user! Anyone who says to use AIM or Gchat or any of the other IM clients as an alternative simply hasn't used BBM b/c it's definitely not a substitute. In fact, the #1 reason most of my friends won't switch to an iPhone is b/c it lacks BBM.
