access iPhone from pdp_ip* interface

Hello,
I was just wondering if it's possible to access (ping, ssh) the iPhone from the EDGE/3G side i.e. from the pdp_ip0, pdp_ip1 interfaces.

I've just tried to ping my iphone but I have to reply. Is it somehow possible ?
