Today I was thinking about those alarm clocks with various tasks that have to be performed in order to shut them off. Putting a simple puzzle together, etc... I was wondering, do any iPhone apps exist that make you solve a simple task before you can shut the alarm off?

This would make someone put a little effort into turning off their alarm--all for the sake of forcing someone to not just hit "snooze" immediately and go right back to bed...

or..you simply put the phone in a location that requires you to get up out of bed to shut the alarm off....

or

you go to sleep earlier.

NightStand, my preferred clock app, has math puzzles.

I don't use the alarm clock in this app though. I use the iPhones alarm. I'm too afraid that the an alarm clock app will crash during the night and I won't wake up. I only trust the alarm in the phone.

Same here. I might try Night Stand's alarm feature if they had a sound I liked. I do like that I can pick the color of the display. I can read the blue numbers without my glasses fairly well.

Exactly. That's what normal adults do.

some people sleep extremely hard. I snoozed my alarm clock through my sleep with out actually even waking up. I tried putting my clock across the room and then it wouldn't wake me up. Not because it wasn't loud enough the rest of the house could hear it. I am just an extremely hard sleeper.
