Save over $1,000! Ha.

Last time I checked:
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ≠ 2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 256 MB ≠ NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 512MB GDDR5 memory
Standard TrackPad ≠ Multitouch TrackPad
and USB ≠ Thunderbolt

And those are just the obvious differences.

i wish i could do something to stop the ad, i really wouldn't want someone without computer knowledge to buy it ;/

Darn it, the ad is gone. I was hoping for a laugh.

Once and a great while I see a Powerbook seller post that kind of price on CL-Seattle

But mostly I see price ranges around $300 for cleanish powerbooks. Which is still :(

It is up to buyers to do their research. If they aren't going to do real research, they are better off completely avoiding used computer purchases.

That is something I really hate, jerks adding pirated software in an effort to boost the selling price. Even if it was legal software, licenses are typically not transferable in such a manner.

I really dislike the sellers that say "the software alone is worth $xxx so that's why the price is higher"

It pisses them off when I ask for a clean wipe.
