My school is selling a:

2.13 GHz Core 2 Duo
160GB SuperDrive
2GB Memory
Double-layer SuperDrive

Plus a HP Deskjet F4480 Printer!

I understand it is an older version, but I feel like it's a great deal.

Is it? Should I get it?!

I'm assuming this is new old stock, that Apple is pushing through the school (it's the immediate previous generation - Mid '09 by the sound of it)

Does it have the full 12 month limited warranty? Can you still get AppleCare on it?

If so, then it's a good enough deal. You have the advantage of a FireWire port and Mini DVI rather than mini display port (the adaptors are cheaper).

...that's the prev gen right before the new unibody whitebook... it still has FW400, just a slightly slower CPU, the same GPU (9400m) a removable battery, etc... that's what they are selling for on the apple refurb site and they sell out quickly when they show up...

Its a good deal for a whitebook and its not old...(see my sig, I did the same on the 2.0Ghz whitebook when the 2.13's came out)...
