750gb 7200rpm caddy wont spin down

i have the wd 750fb 7200rpm hdd in my caddy drive. i keep reading about unmounting it in disk utility and any drive should eventually spin down.

i have unmounted the drive and dont see it in finder anymore but the drive is still spinning. any help?

there is a software out there that enables you to adjust the spin down time but ive forgotten the name of it,you may need to reset the smc,?or ,disable sudden motion sensor?do a search for the software,sorry ive forgotten the name of it,but it allows you to change the spin down time on hdrives,google it,
