So... not that it's much of a feature or anything, but does anyone know whether or not Snow Leopard has a new intro video? I've sort of grown attached to the tradition of a new video for each release of the OS. I could start singing the Leopard intro right now... do-do da-doo do... :)

I also like to see a new Intro Video for the new OS. Normally, I get really excited when a new OS comes out : New packaging, new features, new intro video, bref ... everything new :) But for this one... the same than Leopard... nothing really new to have a party for... BUT I am still looking forward for a fresh clean install on my iMac. :)

I was also sad to find out it was the same as Leopards

That video is so appallingly fake it's unreal.

The OS X intro never runs in a window, it's full screen and certainly never on the actual desktop with the dock, etc on show.

That's nothing but the Leopard intro running in Quicktime with the Snow Leopard default wallpaper applied to his system settings.

Wow I hope you're joking because that is exactly how my into video played in snow leopard (when I did an upgrade)

Except when you watch it again ... you can find the video on the HDD and watch it over and over again.

Nope, when upgrading from Tiger to Leopard on my old white iMac and when I switched this system on from brand new, the intro was full screen and only preceded the final registration/set up screens.

Yes, exactly. You can watch it over and over again, proving that the video was in no way any version of Snow Leopard being applied to the system shown.

What? How do you figure that?

The welcome video exists on the HDD. You can go back after your system is set up, and watch it over and over again, in quicktime.

I just installed the retail upgrade version as an update on Leopard, I got the Leopard video in a small window...

same here, however on my MacBook (which had leopard) - it was in it's little window. no problem, kind of lost it's luster when you compare it to opening your MacBook for the first time and seeing it

I made a Guide for this.

The song in Leopard is Honeycut by Exodus Honey.
