I've just read that 20,000 postal workers are taking part in strike action today, tomorrow and Saturday. Add that to the fact that it's a bank holiday weekend and Snow Leopard is shipping from the Netherlands and it looks like I won't be gettig my copy for quite a long time.

Yet again the person who preorders gets it ages after the guy who simply walks into an Apple Store on release day.

Why don't you then walk into a store tomorrow and buy a copy? You can always return the pre-ordered one when it gets delivered. You won't lose as shipping was free.

I had that thought this morning, when I realised that I would be walking past an Apple store tomorrow, and my Family Pack pre-order is stuck at "Prepared for Shipment".

But, I'm not in that much of a rush, and I'm not sure I want to help to artificially inflate the sales figures.

Patience!

Although - can I get it at the same UTD price of £7.99?

Then I'll just keep cursing Royal Mail! And banks for taking holidays when they really don't deserve them.

Just wondering, maybe the Royal Mail action was why Apple hadn't ruled out using a courier for the deliveries. Guess we'll have to see.

Lol, so while everyone else gets to play with SL and post back their surprises and findings, we'll be stuck with nothing.

hmmm mine says shipped, courier is G3.

Not even heard of them! What are my chances of it turning up tomorrow?

Might say G3, but it won't be. That's just the shipping people who ship to UK. You'll then get someone local to UK, perhaps even local to your area.

Do bank closures have some special significance I am not aware of?

Here in the UK, banks close for Bank Holiday weekends.

Usually, they close on the Monday - that is the actual holiday (public). Most people have a holiday from work, but not everyone.

Gosh, how many times - it will NOT be G3 that will be posting or delivery it to any of us.

It will be either a local courier, or the postal service.

Haha just thought it would be funny. Not to be taken seriously. ;)
