ok, i bought the new iphone 3gs and want to give my old phone to my buddy to use as an itouch. problem is i restored it to brand new because i wanted to wipe all of my date off of it before i gave it to him. how do we get it unlocked/jailbroken for him to use it as an itouch? thx a lot for the help.

If you put your SIM in and activate it, you can just pull the SIM out and put it back in your 3GS and nothing will change on your account.
