There are loads of converter apps, but I wanna ask: what's the best one?

I'd prefer it to be free, but I might pay about 59p of it's really good.

I prefer convertbot over convert because they have all the currency world money instead of just 6.

I must say I also like Convertbot's UI a lot.

Compile 'em all, why do you think Convert is better?

I like Convert~the unit calculator, it has currency and the UI is easy to use. I tired a few and this one is way at the top

.purm.

convert and convertbot both have a great UI, but convertbot has a lot more conversions, and a new update coming will bring all features in line with convert (eg a calculator in the amount input and copy & paste)

I'll echo the praise for Convertbot. I definitely prefer it to any of the others I've tried.

a2z Pro gets my vote. I really like how it displays all conversions for a given unit, rather than having to select a single unit to convert to.

[app]Measures[/app] does well for me, [app]Converter[/app] is decent as well. I'll definitely try out [app]Convertbot[/app] again when the update comes out, it's UI is great, but the units available for conversion are still limited.

What do you mean? You can enable a lot more units in the settings...

It just feels a lot more faster to get things converted with convert than convertbot. You can scroll a lot faster through units as opposed to using the dial in convertbot. Both apps have great UIs for sure but convert feels a lot more iPhoneIsh to me. Convertbot's UI is just too custom for my tastes and it is one of the main reasons why it didn't win any ADA in WWDC.

So you don't like the UI? I do, so no problem with me on that!

What I'm hearing here so far is Convertbot is best (by majority of posts in this thread).

I have both Convert & ConvertBot and i will give you some screenshots

As you can see, ConvertBot have the complete list of ALL currency (136 countries). While Convert only have 12.

- ConvertBot have more conversion then Convert.
- ConvertBot & Convert both have a nice UI.
- Convert have a built-in calculator (+-x/)
- ConvertBot can be customized.
- Convert cannot be customized.
- Convert convert units faster by scrolling up and down.
- ConvertBot can also convert faster then Convert if you customize your units.
- Convert UI sometimes bugs or gets slow.
- ConvertBot have cool clicking and pedal sound-fx
- Convert have no sound-fx
- ConvertBot have no built-in calculator
- Convert sometime is a pain to scroll a large list searching but at least each (cm...mm...kg) are labeled.
- ConvertBot sometimes is a pain to spin a large list searching but you need to know your symbols.
