I don't think you understand what Home Sharing allows for. It allows for iTunes MUSIC/MOVIES/TV SHOWS to be manually transferred or synced between computer systems with the same iTunes account. Nowhere does it say that reverse syncing images from your iPod is a feature. If you have access to your previous system, and your iPod supports disk mode, you can copy the folder containing the pictures onto the iPod's hard drive, and then from there to the new system. You can copy the folder onto an external hard drive also, zip the folder and email it, assuming it doesn't exceed the attachment size limit of your email provider, or use File Sharing to bring the pictures folder to your new system.
