8.3 on refurb iPhone 5 causes the battery to last 4 hours full charge? After a month

But before I had 8.1 and the battery lasted 7 hours.
I don't understand how 8.3 after a month still only lasting 4 hours. The phone is only 9 months old. So the battery itself isn't the problem.

I also heard even on the iPhone 6 the battery is TERRIBLE the worst out of all updates.

Seems like most threads about battery life point to iPhone 6 having a fine battery.

As for iPhone 5, unfortunately that's one of the models that is known to have more battery issues than most. There is even a recall for quite a few iPhone 5 phones related to battery issues.

4 hours of usage or 4 hours total with standby? My iPhone 5 is over 2 years old and still has the original battery. I get 4-5 hours usage and 12+ hours on standby before the battery gets low. Running 8.3.
