In idle, 8:19,
If I open safari and go to www.google.com, it goes to 7 hours
On www.apple.com, it drops to 5:40.

This is with the lowest 3 bars of brightness :S

Nothing else is open.

This site is good however, I get 8+ hours on macrumors though.

Your estimated time remaining changes from minute to minute, depending on the load on your system. It is, at best, a guess, and not entirely accurate. Calibrating your battery will make it more accurate, but it still won't be perfect. Also, don't expect to match Apple's advertised duration, which is done under very carefully controlled conditions. Think EPA numbers: your mileage may vary.

This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions: Apple Notebook Battery FAQ

Your times are accurate. I wholeheartedly believe that no one who actually uses their computer in any enjoyable way will get 8 hours out of the battery. Idling, yes. But what you can do is to get a flash blocker. That will help for sure. I would say if you word process, surf, email, and chat, you will get about 5 hours of battery life.
