8 GB RAM for your 17" Uni MBP?

I´ve been folowing the price for this on macsales.com

In January it was $ 729
In February it was $ 719
In March it will be $ 697

To me this says hold tight for another good 5 months. I´m gonna get 8Gigs and Solid state over the summer.
It´s going to be installed into Snowey and I´ll head off into autumn like a mad rocket.

RAM normally halves in price over a year, so im going to do the same thing as you. Im going to wait until 8GB is actually useful when Snow Leopard comes out around August and get 8GB then. Definately not OWC though, only Crucial for me thanks

I agree 100% with Crucial. I only used this link to OWC to prove my point
about price fall. I thought the 8 GB upgrade when bying at
 today was a complete ripp off.
