iPod touch 8 gig customizing problems on 1.1.5

hey im wondering why 1.1.5 is different than 1.1.4 because after i upgraded it wasnt jailbroken and all my programing was gone anyways whatever ill do it agian but when aplying a homescreen wall paper in customize it says "there was an error encountered when applying file sets". to top it all off when im downloading new themes they show that theyve downloaded on the "my themes" list but when going to apply them they dont come up on the list of choices.
