iPhone X 8 (regular, non-plus) ---> XS?

Ugh, now I'm considering it. Can still get it on 9/21. Could hand my 8 down to my wife to replace her SE.

Thoughts? My big two things were gen 2 FaceID and ProMotion. Looks like it is going to have some sort of faster FaceID (gen 1.5?) which is the more important of the two, but no ProMotion. Regardless FaceID looks like it will be better, how much better remains to be seen.

I'm wondering if ProMotion on an OLED will even be possible next year?

Ultimately, is 8 ---> XS a worthy upgrade?

Personally I’m not, but it is a considerable upgrade (camera, speakers, battery, display). Plus it’s a new phone. Go for it.
