Update carrier settings.

I'm on o2 with a j/broken phone still on 3.0. Each time i connect to itunes i get a message saying that there's an update for my carrier settings. Is it ok to update or will it update to 3.1?

It will let you update carrier settings without updating to 3.1.

Did you already update to 3.1.2 ? If so, the carrier update is included in firmware I believe.

What exactly is this update? Probably won't bother updating until dev team releases a JB for 3.1.2

Nah still 3.0 JB 3GS. I was able to option update to the carrier file without upgrading the firmware. Still didn't get the pop up though.
