802.11n enabler for what?

I currently own an iMac Intel core 2 Duo 2.18, I believe it does not need the enabler....but I also have the airport base station which I bought 1 year ago and also the airport express that I bought 3 years ago..... will that enabler work with the airports (express and base station)?

the enabler is for mac computers after a certain date that had 802.11n functionality built in, but not enabled. The router may or may not have 802.11n. That cannot be enabled with the enabler
