i have a 1st generation macbook pro with 802.11g and want to upgrade my wireless card to 802.11n

does any one know were i can get it for the cheapest

The Apple Store Sells it for $1.99 I believe. I am also interested in it but still not sure if it will work on mine. I have the Intel 2Ghz Intel Core Duo and have heard conflicting reports on whether it will work. Not really worried at this point since my router only supports g anyways.

Bill......:apple:

the apple store sells the software only the only airport card i can find is the 802.11g

LOL im looking for the mac pro airport card 802.11n
they are compatible and will work in 1st gen macbook pros

Well, I guess you can pay 3x more if you wanted

Edit: Just realized part number is the same. So take it for what its worth.

it's because the parts are identical

when the core 2 duo computers came out there were advertised as 802.11g cards and once the new extremes came out apple released that software update.

the card you are looking at is identical, buy an advertised G card, update it to N via software update. apple doesn't sell a standalone card advertised as N

so there you go, it'll work. sorry if that's no good enough for you bro
