iPod touch 802.1x - Still ignored! Hackers?

Hey guys and gals,

I must say, after Macworld today, I am pissed off. How could they not enable 802.1x for the touch? Almost every college student using the touch needs this for Wi-Fi! Do you think it still might be in 1.1.3? Also, can hackers add this for us? Or is it just Apple?
