iPod 80gb ipod

i know the drives exist, and i dont expect apple to release 80gb ipods before christmas, but does anyone think they will be released before summer? i can afford to wait, but when one comes out, i will need to get one, so im just curious if you think they will come out before summer. if not, ill probably just get a 60
 
I was wondering the same thing. Eventually I just decided not to wait and took the plunge on the 60 GB. The way I figure I'll probably buy a newer iPod in a few years anyway.
 
My guess is Feb after the January MWSF announcements die down a little. That's historically when new revisions get announced if memory serves correct. :eek:
 
...and six months later or so, the price will drop on them. That's when I'll be getting my 80gb iPod.

That seems about the right time frame to me. They may hold out a month or two longer but I expect them to be out before summer.
