I got my Magic Mouse. Even at the fastest setting it's way too slow; like way too slow. I was about ready to shelf it until better drivers came out when I decided to try Lithium batteries. It doesn't make it any faster, but it makes it much lighter so I don't notice as much when I have to keep picking it up and moving it.

That does work much better. Thanks for the suggestion.

Aha! Most excellent. I felt the MM is too heavy. Lithium here I come! Do they last long or are they rechargeable? If so, what brand should buy?

Anyway, glad you posted that!

They aren't rechargeable. I think they are supposed to last longer. I got the Energizer ones. I picked them by weight. Grab an 8 pack of every battery at the store and you'll notice a big difference.

I think only Energizer makes them. I only use Lithium batteries on mice and stuff. Last so much longer. Just be sure to buy the "Ultimate" Lithiums now that Energizer apparently makes two versions.

What is better, Steermouse or Mousezoom? thanks

They are totally different. Steermouse is a complete driver for mice, replacing the inbuilt OS X driver. Mousezoom doesn't replace OS X drivers. It just accelerates the mouse. I suggest for the Magic Mouse, you only use Mousezoom.

Mine was slow as well...then I switched to a mouse pad that was more firm...Razor Destructor and it was much more responsive/fast.

Just got my magic mouse today, love it so far. I'm running leopard 10.5.8. Am I suppose to leave it on? When i shut it off and turn it back on i have to hit connect in the bluetooth menu
