http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0321997 there is this great deal going at microcenter for a 200 dollar rebate on a new unibody macbook (white) its pretty great if anyone is looking for one MicroCenter is the place to go,

A couple of notes:
1) Pick Up in Person Only, will not ship, so make sure there is a store near you.

2) The $200 is a Visa Gift Card, not a cash rebate. You can not get cash advances on a Gift Card, so it can only be used for purchases

Why would you get a cash advance on a gift card, after all you will use that gift card to make other purchases. It's just as good as cash IMO since you can use it anywhere and just not at MC.

The Tustin, CA store has a 5% off as well for the rewards program

Picked mine up yesterday, $949.99 + $8 recycle fee + 8.75% sales tax and $200 rebate.

$749.99 is a really good price for a new 7 hour macbook. :)

First mac, still getting used to it and the screen is excellent.

Because some people on tight budgets may look at the 200 as cash and not a credit, and I just didnt want anyone buying one thinking that they would only spend $799 (plus tax) out of pocket.

Plus places like MacMall do cash rebates, and I didnt want someone being confused.

I can't deposit it where it earns interest prior to actual use. All my cash earns interest until I use it.

I hate those VISA rebate cards. Total pain in the ass.

Already got a email from Microcenter that my rebate info was received and processing. Thats pretty fast!
