I'm helping someone set up their brand-new 21.5" iMac with an Apple bluetooth keyboard.

Periodically, a "Connection Lost" message will pop up; the power button has not been pressed. Without doing anything, the "Connected" message will pop back up on the screen.

This "Connection Lost"/"Connected" problem can happen whether the user is in the middle of typing something or not using the keyboard at all. I understand that it would make sense to happen if the keyboard is sitting idle, but the user has had some frustration when the connection is lost in the middle of typing an email and they have to wait for it to reconnect before it will resume typing. The keyboard is less than 18 inches away from the iMac at all times.

I already went through software update just in case there were any fixes for bluetooth in general. I should also add that the bluetooth Magic Mouse has never given this problem.

Any suggestions?
