Is there a way to create permissions to a folder AND it's subfolders?

It is very tiring and time consuming to set permissions to a folder and then doing the same all the way down to the last subfolder.
Does anyone know of a way to do it all at once?

Simple. When you change the permissions in the "Get Info" window, click the icon at the bottom, as shown:
