Will we likely see better deals on refurbished MBP's when i5 released?

If I remember correctly, you will see a price drop in the $200-$300 range (I'm assuming by your q in another thread that you're looking at a MBP) the day of the new announcement - that's a price drop for both clearance (where the "current" models go to be called "previous generation") and refurbs.

I agree.

Current 13" MBP goes for $999 refurb -- willing to bet when it becomes the "previous generation" it will go for $999...

I highly doubt the 13" will see an "i" chip of any type.

You won't see 'better' deals price-wise. They put a percentage discount on refurbs of current models, and a slightly higher discount on the previous models.

When the current models are replaced by i5 MBPs, you'll likely see the same percentage discount applied to today's MBP models. You'll just get a slightly faster C2D model than you see in today's refurb section.

So basically, waiting will give you slightly faster refurb hardware, since today's models will be put on refurb AND it will become an older model.
