I have a 13 inch 2009 MBP unibody. I currently have a 160gb hard drive.

What is the largest hard drive available for it? I know there is the scorpio blue 500gb.

Is there anything bigger I can install? I'm moving to Ireland soon, so I don't think I can wait for anything. Thanks.

640GB is the biggest available hard drive in the form factor you want.

While there are some higher capacity hard drives available from certain manufacturer's (Western Digital for one), they are a larger form factor (taller), which means that they may very well not fit in your laptop.

Thanks. Anyone have any experiences with this drive?

Also...Do I need superduper and a time machine to move all my programs/music/movies/ect to this new drive or will just the time machine do?

I have one installed in mine, works great!

and no, you don't need both, either one will work.

Sorry, bad guess.

You can fit any 2.5" drive in a Unibody MBP, even 12.5mm high ones.

1TB ones are pretty rare, 750 or 880 gig ones are the biggest I have seen -- but I just did a quick check and cant find one...
